Watch Cufflinks: Read JS Review | Buy It ($75)
Watch movements mounted on clasps to function as cufflinks? Genius, fashionable, a bit geeky and entirely functional.
Setgo Men’s Accessories: Read JS Review | Buy It ($45+)
The NYC-based maker of sleek and functional men’s accessories caught our eye. Our favorites are the thin, minimalistic wallets.
Hanger 3’s Transit Necklaces: Read JS Review | Buy It ($35)
The fact that anything could be passed off as jewelery makes it both fun and lame. Mostly the latter. Hanger 3’s neclkaces are definitely cool though. Simple design with a bit of history make the perfect gift.
Hlaska Bags: Read JS Review | Buy It ($19 -$1,100)
Hlaska’s leather bags are about as buttery soft as tanned cowhide can be, and unlike the cow, come with tons of pockets.
Makr Wallets: Read JS Review | Buy It ($45 – $85)
If you’ve been waiting for a time to toss your Velcro abomination, guess what? Supple leather, laser etching, and the right size to keep your card-carrying down to the absolute minimum.
Stussy Deluxe: Read JS Review | Buy It ($65 – $230)
A full line of sleek, black leather accessories: bags, tags … flasks. Remember how everyone was into Stussy in middle school? This is not that.
Hard Graft x 2Unfold: Read JS Review | Buy It (â‚349)
One bag. Eight ways. Two turtledoves … and a partridge in a pear tree.
Brixton Ltd: Read JS Review | Buy It ($20+)
I recently read an article in a men’s magazine talking about the comeback of hats for men. I don’t think they ever went away, but until recently only a portion of the population could “pull it off.” Brixton Ltd. hopes to change all that with over a dozen men’s hats to choose from, in a variety of styles and colors.

As holidays near, the selfish among us may be prone to thinking less about what significant others would like and more about good looking items to bring to their family’s Thanksgiving celebrations. Lest you think a faded weekender bag will do the trick, the craftspeople at our favorite leather and fabric goods house Makr have created an expandable strap tote that’s just right. The unisex black and grey bag is expandable with riveted leather straps — a perfect train ride accompaniment. Its bigger counterpart, the three pocket strap tube duffel, can also be found at Shop Acrimony San Francisco and Blackbird in Seattle.

Congratulations to Ryan.
The correct amount in the wallet? $109 … which apparently was all blown at the tables in Las Vegas last Friday. Thanks again to everyone for taking a second to participate in our little Tuesday giveaway.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s gigantic prize.

Just a quick heads up that nobody has hit the magic number yet, so two brand new, handmade, fresh leather smelling Makr wallets are up for grabs. And, just to give everyone a sporting chance, we’re going to extend the contest through the weekend (last entries in before midnight Monday). We’re also going to give you a hint: It’s more than $1. Alas, we’ve said too much!

Is it Tuesday already? While we’re busy devising ways to get you into first class seats, front row concerts, digitized gadgets and limited edition schwag, we thought you might like a nice amuse-gueules prize. We’ve been ranting about Makr brand leather goods, and now we want to put one in your pocket — wait, that didn’t come out right. Choose from all of their excellent lines, including the Lace (above, left) for the ladies.
THE PRIZE: A lovely Makr wallet (est. retail, $120).
THIS WEEK’S RULES: We have another simple challenge. Last week we wanted to know what Mr. Spear had in his bag. This week, we just want to know how much money you think he has in his wallet (at the time of this post). First two readers to get closest without going over … you know the drill.

I’ve been a massive fan and daily user of the MAKR wallets for a long time, literally first raving about them more than three years ago. I’ve been using the same One Wallet for about two years now, and it’s broken in and perfect — or so I thought. Wallet master Jason Gregory had to go and launch 12 new sets, making me extremely jealous of all the other cash-and-card carrying possibilities. Give these bad boys a look: simple, elegant, durable, timeless. Handmade by real people, for real people — all the materials are carefully selected, cut, laser etched in house. Congrats on an incredible relaunch Jason!

The SuckUK Tubemap Wallet– albeit way thicker than something I’d ever carry (I’m addicted to my MAKR wallet), is a pretty unique solution to subway navigation. The wallet, made of top-notch leather, serves as not only a place to store up to eight credit cards (who the hell has eight credit cards, and why?), but also as a fold-out see-through window for an ID, and a cash sleeve. The magical piece is that the entire wallet unfolds to reveal a full-color high resolution map of either the London Tube or NYC Subway. Via Something Glorious

Big congrats to Jason Gregory the insanely talented graphic designer and self taught leather worker behind MAKR. He recently launched a brand new site with a handful of fresh products. Some of the most exquisite laser-cut and hand sewn leather wallets I’ve ever seen– and finally after much persistence he launched an Online Store. Wallets start at $60 and he changes the designs often so they’re all limited edition. What are you waiting for, go and explore the new site now!

By now you probably all know I’m in love with Jason Gregory’s handmade MAKR leather wallets– it’s really my all around favorite wallet. Great too look at, smooth to the touch, and incredibly functional. Gregory, a self taught leather worker recently collaborated with JS friend and über designer Chuck Anderson of No Pattern. (I covered some of Anderson’s work with UpperPlayground a while back) The results are a special edition No Pattern meets MAKR wallet— and it looks gorgeous! By the way, Chuck Anderson recently updated his website, check it out, the MAKR collaboration is just one of the many interesting things he’s up to.

I just received my wallet from makr, a line of leather goods made by an amazing self taught leather worker in Orlando. The product is simply awesome, fine leather, hand sewn, laser cut– and put in an unbelievable hand made box. Before they weren’t for sale, but now they are available in a limited quantity–$35 for the wallet, and $70 for the wallet in box. Each has an original design– and the details are exquisite.

Makr, is a small label designed by a young, 24 year old, self taught leatherworker from Florida–who started making his first leather goods out of a beautiful antique camera bag that was passed down to him by his grandfather. He cut apart the leather, and experimented with the material. He put it in an industrial laser at the local architecture firm he was working at, and soon thereafter he had his first hand sewn and designed wallet– the results are exquisite. He ended up buying the laster and it sits in his garage, where he makes beautiful bags, and wallets like these. As far as I know he isn’t selling them, but I’m sure if we nag on him enough he’ll get some distribution and more products out!
