Sruli Recht is at it again with this new project entitled r¿ng. A gorgeous interchangeable rough diamond ring made custom for 3530 Euros. I love the mystery feel behind this.
The diamonds herein presented have been sourced from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict, and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. These diamonds are guaranteed conflict free based on personal knowledge and written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds, and that they are treatment free in any way or form. Due to the unique nature of each diamond set, the claws may vary slightly. The thread are made with a precise watchmaker thread cutter which fix the setting to the ring so that it must be undone by hand and can´t unscrew itself.
r¿ng is a 10carat white gold Möbius band with a hand tapped 16gauge internal [female] thread to receive three uncut rough diamonds set individually into screw-in external thread-form propeller claws.Housed in a 215-piece hand-painted box with threaded lid for safekeeping the 6.86 carat total weight over three different diamonds*. Today, Core77 proudly introduces a limited edition bicycle–named the “Dutch Master“–celebrating New York bike culture and a heritage of local manufacturing.
The Dutch Master is based on the beloved Worksman cruiser frame–a workhorse foundation used throughout the New York delivery community, and manufactured in Queens, New York for over 110 years. Core77 customized the frame, fitting it out with a carefully curated set of components, each with its own story.
Â
The bike was hand-built by KT Higgins, a Brooklyn-based ex-bike messenger (infamous for her crash in the movie Pedal), and proprietor of Bushwick Bike Shop, her one-year-old bikeshop in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn.
You can pop by the Apple Store to meet the designers on Saturday the 11th in New York (Prince Street) at 3pm– and afterwards the Dutch Master will be on display in the lobby of the Ace Hotel on West 29th for one week from July 11th through July 18th.

Hypebeast has the scoop (via Leica Rumors) on a Safari Edition of their flagship compact point and shoot D-Lux 4. This special version comes in a green anodized aluminum body with a heavy duty water-resistant bag. Very bad ass and ready to snap shots of wild animals on the reserve. I’ve been switching between my own Leica and Ricoh GR II lately, but have been spending a bit more time with the Leica for the ease of use and back pocket fashion. Pre-order for (a whopping) $1300 here.
Bond. James Bond. Any questions? The CODE-X-YACHT, by CODE-X AG, a swiss based company based on Lake Lucerne started with a goal of developing products (boats) with maximum exclusivity that use renewable energy. These beauties run on fossil fuel and solar-power. The CODE-X model shown above is the first product to blend solar and a Formula 1 engine. Gorgeous, just gorgeous. No word on availability or pricing. More pictures after the jump.
Our friends at COTO, makers of some very fine Sustainable Luxury Accessories just dropped us a note with some of their new products. We’re big fans of the ties (both bow and round/point tip) made from natural silk woven in England, hand sewn here in New York City. They’ve also got some great cufflinks made from things like South American corozo nut, natural briar root, leather rope, and indian head nickels.

Visionaire rarely, if ever, fits into the traditional magazine category. For starters it’s only published three times a year and each issue is more of a curated art project around a certain theme. For their holiday issue (we aren’t sure which holiday) they’ve gone after pop-up books. Pulling in hotshot art/fashion names like Gareth Pugh, Sophie Calle and Alasdair McLellan, each artist created one pop-up book … well a one-page book. Altogether the collection makes up 11 images in a very attractive case. Production for all the issues of Visionaire are extremely limited and very pricey. This issue alone will set you back website. But if any of you do shell out the cash for this one we would love to see some hands on pictures.
The Bell & Ross Heritage Series Watch (BR-01-92) is the latest release from one of our favorite watch brands. This one has a carbon powder coating (always a favorite), anti-reflection sapphire, a sand-colored photo-luminescent coating for night reading, and an awesomely sexy printed natural leather band shown above. They’re aiming to revive the authentic spirit of a collection watch, this time taking inspiration from military aircraft instruments from the 1940’s. Also, 2008 marked B&R’s induction as an official supplier to The French Air Force (congrats team!).
I’m pretty sure I ran into these new Nike Blazer Low Velcro Lux’s when I was in Tokyo a few months ago. Maybe it was an early release. I’m still kicking myself for not buying them — they’re lovely. Basic white, black and red colors made with premium full grain leather. Our pals at High Snobiety call it “quiet sophistication” and we totally agree. More pictures after the jump.

Rugs are boring — unless you can find just the right one, then it really ties the room together. If your room happens to be contemporary high-end design then we can point you in the right direction: Chevalier Edition. They’re created by an impressive list of designers and all the rugs can be customized in both color and size. As you might guess they are a bit pricey. Pricey enough not to put prices on their website. Pricey enough to only be sold in Paris. But if you happen to be in Paris — say for a web development conference (cough cough Le Web) you should totally drop by and have a peak. For the rest of us we can have browse through their cover rug flow selection of really really attractive floor coverings.
