Gymkhana in San Francisco

Remember The Art of Gymkhana? Well, Ken Block is back– but this time he’s on the streets of San Francisco. Oh, my, god. You will not believe this happened.

Utilizing a tricked out Ford Fiesta with 0-60 MPH capabilities in just 1.8 seconds, thanks in large part to its 650 horsepower engine, the city streets are the stage for a variety of maneuvers usually reserved to a child’s imagination. Shot over a period of four days, every nook and cranny of the Bay is seemingly used for this expansive follow up to a series that draws spectators from numerous different worlds.

Audi’s Truth in 24

The Le Mans 24 Hours is a legendary race where drivers cover 4,800 kilometers in 24 hours – almost as many as the Formula One racers in a whole year.

The film “Truth in 24 II” (trailer above) documents the tenth and arguably most emotional triumph of the Audi brand with intimate insights into the team of Audi Sport and incredible pictures.

Looking forward to the full release– it’s available for download now on iTunes.

Thanks Richard!

The Story of Sushi

The Story of Sushi from Bamboo Sushi on Vimeo.

Bamboo Sushi is proud to be the first certified, sustainable sushi restaurant in the world. It is Bamboo Sushi’s mission to provide exceptional contemporary Japanese cuisine using the freshest fish, meats, and produce available while adhering to the highest standards of marine stewardship and sustainability.

This is what the world of sushi lovers need. I can’t wait to check out Bamboo Sushi on my next trip to Portland.

Oh my, words can not describe this video. Genius. Major props to my friends at Jawbone on their latest marketing promotion for the Jambox (and The Jamchain, which is a hilarious and awesome accessory).  Watch for a laugh, including areference to basically every meaningful (and trendy) web startup in San Francisco right now.

If you use the coupon code JAMCHAIN you’ll receive a free JamChain with your order of a Jambox, while supplies last.

Aaron Dignan: Game Frame

Aaron Dignan, my partner in crime over at Undercurrent just wrote a book called Game Frame: Using Games as a Strategy for Success.

Check this great trailer he did explaining the concept behind the book.

I could go on and on about how proud of him I am, or why you should buy this book if you want to change your own game– but I’ll just say this: Aaron is one of the smartest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and luckily, I get to work with him almost everyday now.

Go buy the book. Support authors and entrepreneurs and stay tuned for more interviews, Game Frame thoughts and more, very soon.

The Nike Music Shoe

The fact that these guys keep straight faces playing shoes is impressive.

Somewhere in a top secret location in Tokyo, break beat music duo, HIFANA (composed of KEIZOmachine and JUICY) discovered that Nike Free Run+ running shoes can drop beats like realtime samplers and no other. HIFANA eschewed a part of their regular break beat set up and hooked up the mixers and sound systems to Nike Free Run+ shoes. When bent or twisted, the ultra-flexible Nike Free Run+ drops different tunes and sounds.  Via Freshness Mag
