Icaro Doria, a Brazilian designer, has done some amazing graphic interpretations of common flag designs for countries around the world. They’re incredibly evocative, comparing sections of each color on the flags to segments of their population. The campaign is called Meet The World, and has been running in Portugal since January. There are eight flags finished, and portray topics like the divisions about the war in Iraq (shown here), the violence against women in africa, social inequality in brazil, and more. I found this just in time for President Bush’s address to the nation tonight regarding “the war” Iraq.

Tag Hueer described their new watch “The Diamond Fiction” as “an assertively feminine time piece for women of uncommon poise and confidence, for who glamour is a passion, luxury of the essence, and indulgence an absolute necessity”. I’d describe it as extreme bling-bling. The watch has some 879 diamonds with 54 of them hiding LED’s that display the time in a glowing red. It’s interesting to see LED’s integrated into high fashion like this.

The cursed city of Nineveh was threatened to be flooded by God himself, for the people within its walls had become too corrupt, and too evil. The designers of Nineveh want their line to serve as a permanent reminder to do your part to betting your city, and your way of life. The Denver based design team started their couture clothing line a little under a year ago, and the results are already impressive. They’re quickly distancing themselves from just another “t-shirt” company with their line of cut and sew shirts, and pullovers. The graphics are all mostly hand drawn, and hand embroidered. I love supporting new initiatives like this, and these guys are very talented!
