If I lived in a dorm room, I wouldn’t even think twice about getting myself this Egg and Muffin Toaster. Heck, I might even think about getting myself one so I never even have to fire up my stove! This thing makes toast and eggs on the go– choose from several different trays for poaching, warming, or hard boiling, plus extra wide toasting slots for everything from bread to croissants. Excellent design!

I’m showing a little of my softer side here, and my long time love for ‘bath time’–oh how embarrassing. I totally dig the iPop, designed by “Design by People“, a NYC based firm. The product is a collaboration between the NYC product house, and with designer and sculpture Charlie Becker. Stick it on the tiles, side of the bath, treadmill screen, or anything else–and rock out! $12, and available soon. Thanks Design*Sponge!

This Saturday, the 23rd of July, is a day packed full of good design in Sydney, Australia. The event is called Saturday in Design and there will be 34 busses operating on 5 different routes around the city taking spectators to design stores and showrooms. Also, on Saturday they will present the winners of the young design awards, at the Launch Pad event– a platform that aims to encourage emerging Australian design to become market ready, by giving them access to a large network of commercial suppliers, manufactures, and of course, media. There seems to be some very exciting finalists this year!

Be. Bike has a great set of limited edition bike models by 8 different notable urban artists. Futura, Haze, Kaws, Misk, Matzu, Kenji Hirata, Skwerm, and Stash– each picked their own bike parts, and did the graphics on each piece. The most popular bike seems to be the Kaws design, they are going for 100500 Yen, a little less than $1000 USD. The designs are limited to 100 of each model. The next Be. Bike designer series will be released in November, and will be smaller folding bikes– so far Geoff McFetridge is in the only artist signed up in the next series. Futura bike shown.
