Our friends over at Realm Dekor have a bunch of new products for sale. A whole new line of pillows, and a some really freshly designed vases and planters get my special nod of approval. I particularly like the Panton-inspired “Orb” Vase, organic modern form. They’re gaining a following in the design community, consistently keeping the price down in “modern” design, a market that has had a pretty steep price tag lately!

COLOURlovers is both an interesting concept, and a great resource to share, view, rate, and review different colors. The site serves as inspiration for designers of all types, or as they call it ‘an international collection of colour lovers’. Colors, as well as color palettes are rated through a variety of methods– and can slowly make it up the list of ‘top colors’ and ‘top palettes’. Right now the top palette is Summer of 1970 (shown), and the top color is Heatland.

I totally agree with the folks over at Uncrate– the new Death Cab For Cutie album, “Plans”, is amazing. I aint’ tellin how a copy landed in my lap–and I wouldn’t go as far as saying I’d sell my body to Russian pimps for a copy of the disc, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Ben Gibbard does it again, favorite tracks so far “your heart is an empty room” and “summer skin”. Available August 30th, this will be Death Cab’s first major label release.
