I’ve been rocking my recently acquired DURKL “Future Handsome Millionare” with pride lately. DURKL’s new line can be described as “ill, suave, fly t-shirts”, and the designer has a great sense of humor– which can be seen in all of his designs. “The man behind DURKL is a trilingual breakdance, kung-fu, and bird calling legend from Washington D.C, a nationally known fresh juice aficionado, a local designer, and a duel Guiness Book of World Records holder. He held and still holds the Guiness Book record for the most expensive orthodontist bill as well as the record for spiking the most punch in High School.” Keep up the good work, guys!

I know these aren’t new, amazing none the less. Everytime I see them again I still think they’re freaking brilliant. Illustrator Michael Paulus decided to take a select few popular cartoon characters and “render their skeletal systems as I imagine they might resemble if one truly had eye sockets half the size of its head, or fingerless-hands, or feet comprising 60% of its body mass.” The results are a bit creepy, but quite amazing. Mr Paulus is clearly, very, very talented.

House Special is at it again, designer Ben Durrell was inspired by the podcasting trend, and memories of sitting around campfires as a child–and he went to create an unusual iPod dock and speaker set–he calls it the Story Log. The dock is crafted from a 2 foot section off a pretty substantial size tree–with dock and speakers built right in. Durrell has been designing and building furniture since his early teens.

Rock’n clothing finally has an online store where you can view and purchase there shirts. I’m partial to the “Crest” design, easily a favorite, and an instant classic. As usual, all the shirts are custom manufactured, and enzyme washed for a super-soft vintage feel.
