The IDEA Group is looking to showcase small to medium sized furniture designs, accessories, and lighting for their upcoming FROST 2006 exhibition in January, in Edmonton. The idea behind this exhibit is to explore the relationship between the designer and end user, and they even went as far as to create a persona they call “Jorge Harzinger”, who you can read more about on there website. All designs should be interpretations of his personality, and lifestyle. It’s an interesting concept, and a great place for talented, up and coming designers to show off their work. Got something to submit? Deadline is October 15th!

Focused on quality, comfort, and individuality; SquidFire’s t-shirts are all hand designed, hand printed, and each piece is given individual attention. They have some fun ‘animal’ based t-shirts for both guys and gals, my favorite is the stag shirt in fluorescent pink–also availale in blue. It’s nice knowing my shirts have been tended to by hand. Check them out for octopi, sear-horses, unicorns, of course squids, and more.
