I don’t know much about bongs (I swear mom!), or even vodka for that matter–but I never expected to see the two of them together. Apparently the US government recently approved ‘Bong Vodka’, which will make its Florida debut in the next few months. Rumor mill says it’s up there taste wise with grey goose, and my prediction is that everyone from college kids to club goers are going to eat this product up for the ‘fun’ cultural icon it’s wrapped up in. Also, each bottle is individually numbered, for the ‘bong collector’. They have a nice myspace page with some more info, and a website is coming soon.

I know the uber-exclusive Vertu cell phones are indeed just ‘regular old’ cell phones inside a fancy case (minus the one touch button for a concierge). Conspicuous consumption aside–damn, they make a nice looking phone! Vertu just announced a new model, for the race car lover made from Liquidmetal alloy, oil resistant leather, and a cover inlaid with carbon fiber. Only 997 of the phones will be available, and they are all numbered individually. If you haven’t heard of Vertu before, they’re Nokia’s luxury brand– think platinum phones with diamond keys, no kidding.
