I kid you not, the Pillow Fight Club is real and in full effect. Everybody should have a good pillow fight every now and then, and thanks to word of mouth there seems to be more and more strategically planned pillow fights happening. Yesterday around 1000 people showed up for a well planned battle in San Francisco. The rules of Pillow Fight Club are simple. Tell everyone about Pillow Fight Club, Turn up at arranged venue with pillow hidden in a bag. At the exact given time pull out pillow and fight. You cannot fight anyone without a pillow, unless they want it– and of course, nothing heavy can be hidden in the pillows. Check out the Wikipedia entry for links to pictures from London, Madrid, Teli Aviv, Toronto, San Francisco and more.

In honor of all things Ben Gibbard (Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie) related, I have to mention the new single, “Grow Old with Me”, Postal Service has written for Amnesty International’s Make Some Noise campaign. In classic Postal Service fashion, Lennon's music has been given a “fresh new feel with a beautiful, atmospheric, effects-laden sound. This and four other John Lennon songs, including “Power to the People” (Black Eyed Peas) and “Isolation” (Snow Patrol), have been beautifully redone, merging “modern sound with a 70's soul.” Amnesty International has always worked to protect human rights world wide and you can support them by purchasing any of the Make Some Noise singles. Plus you get some great music!
