The blogosphere has been buzzing with Apple’s big announcement a few weeks ago that simply read: “Come see some fun new products from Apple on February 28th at 10:00 AM.” The rumor mill has been at full steam churning out images of fake iPod Video’s and new Mac Mini models. Think Secret has a pretty solid report that we’ll be seeing a “Hi-Fi” boombox for the iPod, that could be fun. It’s also Apple’s 30th anniversary pretty soon so I think it’s a safe guess they’re going to release some more remarkable products. Although it’s not very likely– I’d love to see an iPhone, please Apple if you’re reading this, release one already! Either way, keep your eyes peeled tomorrow morning for announcements!

Vlieger Vandam has played upon the popularity of the lap dog as a fashion accessory and created the Hungry Jack Dachshund bag. This pup is as cute as the real thing, plus you can carry your things inside its stomach, illustrated by the x-ray image on the side. The bag has a front covered in black pony hair and the silkscreen is printed on leather. If the dashund isn't for you, don't fret, Hungry Jack comes as a guinea pig also. Both are available from Vlieger Vandam.

With over 450 .12 gauge shotgun shells, this chair is truly fully loaded. Designer Alexander Reh definitely created an odd dichotomy with comfort and objects of weaponry. The brass shotgun shells create an interesting allure and apparently as Yanko Design points out also a massaging texture. Reh grew up in Houston, TX and studied design in Austin. Now he’s in Brooklyn focusing on his Industrial and Graphic Design– check his site out! Maybe our Vice-President should pick one of these up as a present for his hunting buddies.

I checked out the opening party for Submit 2 Print at The Andenken in Denver on Friday night. The show consists of nearly 150 prints for sale from over 40 artists including Jeff Soto, Evan Hecox, Brendan Monroe, Tim Buskup, Chuck Anderson, Jason Thielke, Scot Lefavor, Ray Young Chu from The Yummies and many, many more. It runs through April 22nd– if you’re in the area and have a chance to see it I strongly recommend it, I haven’t seen that many talented artist’s prints for sale in one place ever before. Regretfully I didn’t take any pictures, but I’ll get some soon!
