I just received some interesting books from ROJO, a graphic design and branding studio in Barcelona. The books, they call ROJOedicions are monographic books created by the artists: Tofer, Neasden, Control Centre, Boris Hoppek, Nuno Valerlo and Albert Bertolin– each with their own unique graphic style. They’re edgy, limited edition, fun and pretty fascinating to browse through. You can preview spreads from the books and purchase on the ROJO website. Rojo also has some events coming up in Germany, The Dominican Republic, Brazil, Finland and more– worth keeping your eye on if you’re in the area

New York Collective for the Arts is at it again! But this time they’ve teamed up in partnership with Fila to provide a platform for artists to showcase their creativity. The project will roll out in phases, the first phase being a limited edition t-shirt series called Artists Play Too. The collection is meant to bridge each artist’s personal understanding of a union between art and sport. The shirts drop bi-weekly at US Fila stores starting April 2006. Check out the NYC Collective’s website to get a heads up on the artists, they have some familiar faces like Kasper Ledet and our friends over at momimomi. If you’re in NYC on April 6th they’re also having an in-store launch/benefit party. I’m looking forward to seeing the t-shirt designs, sounds like a great project.

Congratulations to my blogger-pal Notcot for her one year anniversary and subsequent relaunch. After some much-needed improvements, changes and a rather interesting ‘gallery feature’ it’s back in what appears to be full swing. Notcot is, as described by the curator, ‘a visual filtration of ideas, aesthetics, and amusement’. Now all you have to do is explain to everyone what the heck Notcot means. Either way, keep up the good work!

The Adicolor launch is in full effect worldwide and the DIY shoes are flying off store shelves and internet sites like hot cakes. Karmaloop was one of the few online retailers to get a handful of these puppies– and I’ve got a pair of the low shell toes (and the paints and whole kit that come with) to give away to one lucky reader. If you’re unfamiliar with the revival of the Adicolor products, check out the Adidas site for more details.Want ‘em? Sign up for the mailing list and I’ll choose one random name in the next 48 hours. It’s all in the luck of the draw…
