This is an old one, but a good one. Inspired by the images of legendary music photographer Mick Rock (the official photographer of David Bowie throughout the 70's), creative duo Steve Mosley and Dominic Wilcox of Mosley Meets Wilcox, have created the Mosley Meets Wilcox Meets Rock, Bowie Collection. An eclectic mix of ideas and objects, the limited edition collection features vase sets (100), tables (100), and plates (250), all adorned with Bowie's likeness. Through their collaboration Rock, Mosley, and Wilcox have brought us a rock inspired collection that occupies territory somewhere between art and design. Cushe is an independent British shoe brand formed by a group of people who share a real passion for footwear. They describe themselves as ‘young and free’– and their shoe brand definitely illustrates exactly that. This is the Supreme Court Low, made with a soft leather upper, and a custom removable ‘in-sock’. The details are great, and the light touch of graffiti on this design really hits home. They also have the Universal Traveller– a flip flop, and Park Life series, a more rugged outdoor-feeling shoe. Check out the site, it’s totally fun to navigate around. Purple Reign is the latest mashup album by Jon Moskowitz, the DJ behind that amazing Blue Eyes Meets Bedstuy mix we’ve been listening to since last September. Moskowitz teamed up with The Bangers to mix Prince and Camron. It’s quite good and surely entertaining, my favorite track is Bizzare Whistle Kiss– a mix of The Whistle Song and Prince’s Kiss & Love Bizzare.
