Shrine1
I made my way over to the Meiji Shrine today before a meeting to take a break from the heavy hustle and bustle of the Shibuya. What hit me instantly as remarkable was that the shrine felt entirely tranquil despite the towering buildings around it and the 12 million people rushing around Tokyo. The Shinto style shrine was dedicated to Emperor Meiji– the first emperor of modern japan. It was really interesting to observe the locals who came to the shrine: business men in suits, couples on dates, and even school children there to make an offering and pay their respects. It was a refreshing and beautiful sight– and if you only make it to one place non-retail related in Tokyo, make it this shrine. We were lucky enough to see a traditional Japanese wedding procession happening there as well. More shots in the next Tokyo photo installment.

The new line of LG Chocolate phones has been great in form and function, but I felt that they were lacking a certain “je ne sais quois”, until now. The KV6000 Black Label combines elegance and a bit of bling, accenting the onyx black body with a some gold or platinum. It has all the functionality we’ve come to expect in cell phones including an MP3 player (512 MB Memory) and Digital Camera (1.3 Megapixels) and at 14 mm thick it’s impressively thin– but the best part is the infrared sensor on the cover that by touch of thumb allows access to the keypad beneath. There isn’t much info on the availability or cost but you can check out more pictures of this beauty at Esato.
