Hekluchthimom
With the bike becoming ever more popular in our city lives, we are also seeing a rejuvenation in bicycle peripheral design such as the car shaped bike rack by Adrian Rovero, but what about the functionality and maintenance of our precious rides? Netherlands based design studio Himom, the team of Jeroen Bruls and Krijn Christiaansen, have answered this question with the combination bike stand and pump, the Heklucht. The stainless steel construction lends to its durability while the polished steel exterior shines brightly against the dull, grey of city sidewalks. The Heklucht is a perfect combination of design and functionality, and although originally conceived only as an art project, it most certainly has a place in our urban lives!

YorkRadiohead front man, Thom Yorke, will be releasing his debut individual album (he mentioned that he didn’t want to hear the word “solo” in an interview and you have to respect Thom) on July 10 (UK) and July 11 (US) via XL Recordings! Entitled “The Eraser”, the album features nine brand new tracks produced and arranged by long time Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich with album and web artwork being contributed by Stanley Donwood. Yorke described the album as being, “inevitably more beats and electronics, but still songs” and that has me excited! Make sure to keep your ears open as the track, “Black Swan” will be the soundtrack for the credits of Richard Linklater’s upcoming film, “A Scanner Darkly.”
