Playing with the theme of seduction and pleasure, their new book, Head, Heart, & Hips, explores the “sexier fantasies of commercial art and its application.” It includes entries from Jasper Goodall, René Habermacher, Kam Tang, and Geneviève Gauckler to name a few and each artist is fully profiled with insights into future possibilities for their artwork. Comprised of 208 pages of mostly new work by Big Active and their associated collaborators Head, Heart, & Hips promises to up your art IQ!

As you've probably noticed over the past few months with Mekanism's collaborations with artist Katharina Grosse and Zevs, as well as Logo Skateboards SOFA line, skateboard decks have become quite a popular medium for artists to express themselves. For your enjoyment, the guys over at mph (myplasticheart) will be distributing a new line of designer decks from their new design and production division mphlabs. The decks will be limited edition, only 75 pieces per design, making them ultra rare and extremely coveted, but with a price tag of about $60, they're definitely within reach. The first series will feature designs by MAD, Sket, and UPSO (Dustin Amery Hostetler) and are each unique in theme and color selection. These decks are good enough to bolt a pair of trucks on, but instead, mount them on your wall for all to enjoy and envy!

Corey Arnold, the fantastic photographer from Southern California we covered more than a year ago is back in action with a great new site and some breathtaking work. His Bering Sea Crabbing series photos are totally unreal. I won’t even try to describe them, so just go see them for yourself. Arnold is not only seriously talented, he also has one of the most dangerous and extreme jobs in the world aboard those icey-cold crabbing ships– the pictures show just how far he goes for the perfect shot (and the perfect crab). And yes, these guys are laying in a pile of crabs- yikes!
