Bleu Limited is Hong Kong-based company that does great design work in the realm of consumer electronics, lifestyle, and household products. Bleu Ltd. caters to clients who make the consumer electronics that eventually reach us in the marketplace–they are kind of the ‘first stage’ designers. So while you probably won’t see the products on the shelf at the store, their design concepts filter into the end consumer market through companies that you do know about. I enjoyed checking out the gadgets on their website–stuff like bluetooth mp3 watches, wireless mice, capsule radios, and LCD watches–simple, attractive, and user-friendly deigns.

The guys over at Mimoco recently announced these Darth Vader Mimobot Flash Drives– to be released in January ‘07 in a limited run of 3,500 units. As usual they’ll be available in a few different sizes: 1GB, 2GB and 4GB, starting at $80. These will no doubt sell out– but what’s even more interesting are the open three spots for other star wars figures. I’m sure we’re going to see a Luke– but what else? Storm troopers anyone? Mimoco, if you’re listening (and we know you are), we want a chewbacca-bot!

Cleveland, Ohio. The home of the Cuyahoga River, the Tribe (Cleveland Indians), and now Wrath Arcane Clothing. I respect any label that shrouds their models’ faces in a cloth that reads ‘big labels are fucked,’ but Wrath Arcane’s designs are even more impressive. Although they are a new label and have a pretty limited selection, they have at least gone beyond selling just t-shirts–right now they are making Men’s jackets (my favorites are the Separvtion Laminated Linen and the Rath White Linen), dress shirts, and t-shirts–with a Women’s line soon to follow. They are using a variety of fabrics in their garments (cotton, nylon, and linen), and their designs are well thought out and fresh. It doesn’t appear that Wrath Arcane is available online or even at more boutiques than the one that they have set up in Cleveland (let me know if you know otherwise), but we are excited to help put these guys on the map.

The Johnny Cupcakes ‘Creature’ Shirts are the first in a series of collaborations with illustrator Thom Glick, called ‘There’s Something In The Cupcake Mix!?!’ They are four halloween-ish style characters printed on t-shirts, and each shirt comes inside a matching cupcake mix box. Each box will have a cupcake scented scratch and sniff sticker, monster trivia and a bit of baking flour inside- so you have to actually dust baking flour residue off your t-shirt before you wear it. The whole series is limited to 300 shirt and box combinations for each design. The big release party is tomorrow at 7pm on, wait for it, Friday, October 13th at the Boston location: 279 Newbury Street. More exclusive shirt pictures after the jump.
