It's good to be Leah McSweeney, the twenty-five year-old head of women's label Married to the M.O.B. (that's Most Official Bitches).

For starters, her small company — born from a porch stoop, a plan to make a few tee shirts, and a wholesome dose of Irish irreverence — has taken the streetwear scene by storm natural disaster. Add that to M.O.B,'s well curated collaborations with artists like Fafi and KAWS, the blog headed up by Futura's daughter, the window display at Colette in Paris, and the, ahem, vibrant personality of Ms. McSweeney herself, and there you have it: The perfect recipe for a street label that bitches (and boys) go crazy over.

Read on as we chat with Leah about the state of women's streetwear, her new Cobrasnake/Uffie fronted spring line, and the next best place for Karl Lagerfeld to dip his well-moisturized fingers.

Joshspear.com: A lot has changed since you started MOB in 2004 — today, you're a mother, MOB is huge, and the women's streetwear scene is… well, some say it's blossoming, some say it's just getting fat. What has the path been like?

Leah McSweeney: It's been real that's for sure. It started pretty humbly on the stoop of my old crib on Spring St. and it grew into something very substantial. I think after a few months once coming out with the line I realized I had something special. But when I started it, it was really for fun and to give some stuff to my friends to wear because there were no cute tee shirts for girls. READ MORE…

DWR's Denver studio wants you…to participate in the 2nd Annual Design The Modern Board Competition. The contest sponsored by K2 Snowboards and benefiting the Snowboard Outreach Society is asking established and aspiring graphic designers throughout Colorado to throw their proverbial hats or graphics for a modern snowboard design in the ring. Participants must make their intent to submit known by February 28th, and all submissions are due by March 26th. Final judgment takes place the following day. The contest winner will receive a K2 Snowboard graced with their creation, while the 1st and 2nd runners up will get a trophy in the form of a top sheet of his/her winning graphic. Now if that don't beat all, then we don't know what does.

You may have heard the name Evan Hecox pop up on this site once or twice. Frankly we’ve always known the guy makes a killer skateboard graphic for Chocolate, but he’s come into his own as an artist. Hecox’s new book, Urban Abstract, showcases his way with familiar ethnic cityscapes (from the Barrio to Chinatown) touched off by bright, solid colors. 162 pages are faithfully reproduced linoleum block prints, and thirty-two of the books are housed in a handmade, laser etched wood box as a limited-edition offering. If you’re in the Dallas area next Friday, February 29th, head down to Design Within Reach and pick up a copy for yourself.

When we last saw Logan Real he was asking us to walk a mile, maybe more, in his charitable shoes. This time around he wants to get a hold of our cash, but not in the way you might think. The Miami-based artist who hopes to one day be as revered and recognizable as Louis Vuitton, has created a line of one-of-a-kind wallets, each of which contains a unique freehand design by the artist himself. One of the more fetching cash carriers features a signature multi-colored stained glass mosaic design that “represents elegance, diversity, open-mindedness, and the pursuit of growth as an individual”. If you're lucky you can be the individual whose pursuit of monetary growth can be evident by what you carry inside one of Logan Real's creations.

You've come a long way over the past year as evidenced by the fact that you shaved your goatee and stopped using a nightlight. However, we know that sometimes you get nostalgic for the days of yore when your face fuzz was all the rage and soda pop only cost a nickel. If only there were some kind of time machine or time capsule to take you back to that precious time in your life. Well, we might have just thing and while it's no Delorean or time traveling phone booth, it'll certainly allow you to relive your sordid past. Our old friend Amit Gupta and his team at Photojojo has created a photo time capsule. The new feature digs through your Flickr page, selecting the most intriguing selections from a year ago and sends them to you in a weekly email. The application chooses the most worthy images based on views, comments, and favorites, so you won't get any of those artsy nudes of yourself that you've blocked out of your memory. The best thing about the time capsule is that you don't need 1.21 Gigowatts to activate it, just some photos and a Flickr page.

For anyone that thinks a house really isn’t a home until it has chairs with intertwining wooden tentacles, Toronto-based designer Rob Southcott is a like-minded individual. His Werkstate studio seems to find clever ways to coax nature from some standard interior design objects, whether it’s giving flowing, floral curves to a wall treatment, or using scalloped birch shells for chandelier cups. The site manifesto is, “enrich the mind, feed the soul.” We think his philosophy is more, “You can’t spell functional without fun.” (Also, it would just be “ctional.”). Check out his Memory Cube, a perfect bit of functional fun. You can personalize all the phrases on all six-sides of this sitting block. Just a hint: Sir Mix-A-Lot lyrics work well.
