Mark Ong (better known to sneaker heads as SBTG) teamed up with vinyl toy designer PHU to create 16 one of a kind sneakers for a collection called “Death from Above”– depicting a fictitious aerial battle between 2 enemies, a Death Seeker Air Force 1 and the Phantom Mirage AM90’s. All story telling aside– I’m totally digging the designs. They’re going to retail for $500 (ouch) and go on sale at 10pm EST this Sunday, March 30th on the shop section of Royalefam. You can check out some more pictures over at Freshness Mag and on PHU’s blog.

After dropping out of the Fashion Institute of Technology Queens-born NYC grafitti artist Claw Money hooked up with her PMS crew and took up bombing urban landscapes. Despite being a fashion school dropout, she hasn’t dropped fashion altogether. Not only does she have her own signature clothing line, but she’s also served as a stylist for the likes of Ice T, Korn, and Guns and Roses as well as on projects for Nike and Adidas. Her latest collaboration combines her love for grafitti and fashion, as she’s been paired up with the mobile-minded merchants at Boost to create an eight-piece collection of bags that showcase her unique knack for urban fashion while also being pretty sensible solutions for shouldering your mobile load. The Claw Money XBoosted collection is made from low toxicity, vegan-approved artificial leather and consists of 3 mobile device cases, a traditional school boy nap sac, hip bag, round duffle bag and two laptop bags. Each item is marked by oversized custom prints, customized gold trims, and custom charms. They’re all pretty hop if you ask us

If you had to make a list of the five greatest inventions ever, you can rest assured that somewhere in the top five, cushions would make a surprise appearance. They may not be as important to civilization as the wheel or the shoehorn, but they’re up there. Luckily, for other folks who realize the importance of cushions, there’s Emma Jay Designs. Founded by ex-performer Emma Goody out of frustration with the lifestyle of an entertainer and “a lust for texture, a respect for simplicity and an affinity for interiors,” the Melbourne, Australia-based home furnishings brand has an astonishingly wide variety of designs on all things comforting. At their website you can view and order from a seemingly endless array of prints and textures for products such as floor cushions, scatter cushions, bean bags, and wall panels that would be at home in any abode. If we’re comforted just looking at all of these soft items, imagine how comfortable you’ll be owning them.

Chances are, if you’re showcasing a specific personality on your shirt, you know a little of the backstory behind said image. Most characters, like Mickey Mouse or Eric Cartman had to build up some sort of mainstream popularity in order to be marketable enough to have their images emblazoned on large amounts of merchandise. The creative minds behind Spanish apparel company Tolky Monkys have thrown that traditional model out the window. They’ve come up with their own amusing, unique characters and splashed them all over merchandise such as t-shirt, hoodies, jumpers and posters, asking consumers to come up with their own lore for their new buddies. Characters such as God Eye and Gustavo the Long Arms Kid are given their names and back stories through customer participation on the Tolky Monkys blog. Maybe you can unlock the secret history to the new Tolky Monkys character on your shirt…or at least name it.

In July, we told you about the stunning visual imagery being created by Modern English team member Neil Duerden for a range of diverse clients including Nike, Vespa, Vivienne Westwood, D&G, and others. Well, a lot has happened since then; for instance, Aliens invaded the earth and then decided to leave it the way they found it, erasing everyone's memory of the entire event. Even through that dark time in world history the aforementioned UK-based graphic designer has continued to plug away with his special mix of organic imagery, vector designs and photography. The result of all of that hard work is on display at Neil's website which has just recently been updated with a new flash intro and a blog showcasing some of his latest eye-popping work for clients like Nickelodon and Medion. We recommend checking it out before the aliens come back and steal the rest of your memories…or better yet purchase a print for yourself.
