ZZ Top says every girl’s crazy for a sharp-dressed man. Well imagine how much crazier they’d go for that sharp-dressed man if he’s got himself an even sharper wallet and a sweet keychain … oh, and maybe he needs a new messenger bag too. If you’re already doing your part to be dapper, but are still toting around that velcro Spiderman appendage you carry your money in, perhaps it’s time for an upgrade. Setgo, a new NYC-based maker of sleek accessories for the city male, might have a few things that are right up your alley, and in your pocket. Their dazzling array of wallets, bags, and keychains are essential addition to the any urban Joe looking to add a little more flash and functionality to their utility belt of basic belongings.

Our friends at the edtn. magazine are releasing the third issue of their all inspiring two-color print. For those of you who don't geek out to various printing techniques and aren't sure what a two-color print is, let us help. A two-color print does just what it says, uses two colors to create an image. Most mainstream publications relay on a four-color print. Edtn.'s images have a distinct look to them because of their method. Bottom line is they make awesome images that you need to pay attention to.

If issue three isn't enough to get excited about, they are hosting an exhibition to display the lucky artist who have graced their pages. Check out their show “Golden Brown” at the Bodhi Gallery on Brick Lane in London. If you can't make it to the exhibition, then do everything you can do to get your hands on one of their issues, they sell out fast and only cost next to nothing. No excuses!

For every inventive T-shirt design that crosses our path, there are probably a dozen sarcastic or negative ones. Don’t get us wrong, we enjoy a clever turn of phrase or dose of irony every once in awhile, but creativity shouldn’t be solely the refuge for the disheartened. There’s plenty out there to be inspired by. The folks at WDCF (Where Design Comes From) couldn’t agree more. Their line of custom, limited-edition shirts were created with a passion for design for those passionate about design. Each of the four tees in their “custom custom” collection features a powerful positive message aimed at the creative crowd. Aside from awakening the artistic fervor within, WDCF’s apparel is also quite functional, as the entire set of shirts were built to be reversible — provoking an emotional response, inside and out.

A while ago you saw the totally immersible SwiMP3 here, and as a still-avid swimmer, I’m always on the lookout for improved tools I can use while in the water to help my workout. uCan is a new waterproof MP3 product that has a smoother, more elegant profile than the SwiMP3. Instead of using bone-conducting technology to deliver tunes, these rely on traditional in-ear earphones and comfortably rests on the back of your neck. It also packs in 1 Gb of memory and floats, two big things the SwiMP3 needs to improve to compete in the underwater music market. uCan begins shipping in July from Europe.

For some time now Alta Bikes have had a handle on the business of supplying simple, single-speed bikes for urban inhabitants. Despite the practicality of their pedal-able product, one thing has gotten in the way of the Norwegian bicycle manufacturer’s domination of the global market … location, location, location. Previously unavailable in the U.S., the bicycle makers have opened up a trade route to the Western Hemisphere, so that city cycling enthusiasts across the country can get their hands on one of these handsome modes of transport. The bikes are available in a wide array of colors. Fellow Americans, we encourage you to choose the shade that suits you and then promptly take to the streets.

Brazilian design studio BrainBox Design Estrategico just won a bronze in the 5th Annual Festival of the Creation Club of Paraná for their fun brand identity package. Using recycled materials from a specialized paper company called Hörlle, the business cards are sturdy and beckon a DIY feel. The company’s cute but effective icon is an open head container of pencils to emphasize BrainBox’s belief that despite our technological age, the best ideas still start — you guessed it — the old-school way. Refreshingly true.
