If we can trust what Wikipedia has to say on the matter, people born in the Chinese Year of the Monkey have it made. They are smart, quick witted, inventive problem-solvers, and they come with a side of sharp-shooting, horribly unfair skills– like the ability to absorb conversations happening around them, even while they themselves are heavily engaged in another.

Eric Chan, also known as eepmon, is a young, Ontario-based new media artist with enough experience under his belt to make much more seasoned designers quiver. He is also an enthusiastic member of that lucky Zodiac sign– and from what we can tell, should be, as he fills in its outlines to an intimidating degree.

Thanks to the show “Pimp My Ride”, turning an automobile into a blender or an XBox on wheels doesn’t seem so strange. While XZibit and the crew at West Coast Customs may have cornered the market on turning cars into complex appliances, Tim Roberts would like to make his mark by turning your car into a work of art. The founder of Infectious Car Art first experienced the miracle of the moving canvas when his college roommate paid a muralist $1,000 to paint his favorite character on a beat up old hatchback. The problem with that was that the decoration was permanent. Roberts company has remedied this problem by creating easy to install and remove vinyl designs created by some of the dopest designers around. Zeptonn, Dalek, and Jon Burgerman are just some of the names responsible for creating some of the most divine decals available to adhere to your automobile, whether you drive an Audi… or AMC.

In the 1960’s and 1970’s, the creations by Romika Sport shoes ruled over the German sneaker-scape with a stylish, relaxed, and supportive grip. While recent times have brought the influx of a bevy of international brands, Romika’s influence has never completely faded. Hipsters and sneaker enthusiasts alike have been scouring the world wide web and second hand stores for their favorite sneaks of yore. Thanks to the urging of the folks at German trend blog Nodeland, these footwear aficionados can stop searching high and low for the subject of their shoe fetish. In order to remedy the lack of availability of some of their more classic models, Romika Sport is relaunching their collection. Classic models such as the Super Tennisana, Oxford, Laser, and Bolero have gone through a slight re-design and are now available for those looking to relive their glory days… or maybe even create some new ones.

One of the most usable and underrated apps we have in our Mac OS’ is Stickies. I find myself using them all the time– for taking notes, jotting to-do lists, scribing passwords, editing text, etc. SketchBox is a donationware app for OS X that expands the functionality of our default Stickies by adding drawing functionality, timers to remind your forgetful self, and a sexier interface that helps you organize your notes. It’s admittedly cliché to to say “we all know we could use a little more organization in our lives”– but it’s so true, dammit!
