The Norse gods of weather gear at SWIMS have always made sloshing around in the rain stylish. Whether keeping raindrops off of your head or out of your socks, they’ve consistently been able to make the words dry and dapper go hand in hand. This time around is no different as they release their new collection of Mobster galoshes. The zip up ankle boots, available in both black and brown, fit right over your favorite kicks to keep dampness from infiltrating your feet — which might eventually come in handy if you ever have to sleep with the fishes.

Half-BMX vert stunts. Half competitive team sport. All Nissan ad. The Japanese car company’s foreign export sport SUV Qashqai (the name refers a group of nomads living Iran) has spawned the Qashqai Car Games‘ Spanner League campaign. What? You haven’t heard of the premiere group of foreign daredevil race enthusiasts that flip, spin, and launch their vehicles with Matrix-like precision. Check out their latest attempt which, as always, ends in Wylie Coyote fashion.

It’s like a glory hole … for your ears. Our Great White neighbor’s metro system has become the testing grounds for Pepsi’s new musical poster campaign. Agency BBDO has devised an interactive ad on Canadian subway cars (currently 100 cars in Toronto and Vancouver) that allow you to plug in (headphones not included) and get a taste of some brand new music. Ok, so the mariachi guys, conga players, and team of kids who pop n’ lock in the middle of the F train had this idea first, but those b-boy urchins aren’t trying to get you to visit Pepsiaccess.ca and download their artists. Where else can you find a captive audience that are all wearing earbuds?

We’re not exactly sure how the creative minds behind the Red Dot Clothing would take to us calling them space cadets. The brand was originally formed as an antidote to those who take fashion too seriously, but judging by their 2008 Autumn/Winter collection, you might be inclined to say their designs are out of this world. Their stellar “Space and Future” streetwear line consists of an array of outerwear and sweats inspired by a combination of pop culture and past and present sci-fi staples that turn even the biggest Galactica geek into a glowing example of urban chic. Come November, Red Dot will also be collaborating on a T-shirt with the audio mavens at Sennheiser to kick off an ongoing collection of ‘Branded Classics’ available exclusively online and potentially at a few shops around the third planet.
