Social Revolution. The thought of it has been woven into 2008 like an election campaign narrative. Change, equality, sustainability — all huge ideas in need of huge effort to bring them to life, and even bigger efforts to make them succeed.

Hector Estrada, an established streetwear innovator, head of triko, and the man behind the newly emerging Amivectio, believes in this revolution. According to Hector, it’s a literal revolution, set to change the industry, change the conformity, and most importantly changing the shirt on your back. He might not have the answers yet, but he's trying hard to find it.

The Prize: Multimedialist (tis the season to invent labels) Scott Hanson wants to hook you up with an Iso50 Gift Pack that includes a poster and T-shirt from his formidable collection of graphic design work. And while we’re on the subject of Scott, check out his holiday sale, going on as I type.

The Rules: Everyone knows the 12 Days of Christmas song — partridge in a pear tree and whatnot. Well, what about the 12 Days of Chrismukkah? At JS.com we’re a non-denominational holiday shrub kind of group, and we’d like you to give us an example of what you’d give us for one of the days of Chrismukkah. Nine trends a spotting? Seven Macbooks booting? Three golden iPods? One entry per reader. Duplicates will be discarded.

The Deadline: Contest runs now through noon on 12/22.

As technology evolves, our favorite electronics get smaller. The 4G iPod Nano is one of these small, sleek pieces of gadgetry that’s easy to lose track of. The new iVolution grip from Vaja Cases ensures that it remains tethered to your person by utilizing their new rivet clip system. You can attach your iPod two way: using the GoClip, which hooks into your belt loop, or the Rivet Kingpin Chain that somewhat resembles a wallet chain. Either way is better than it getting scuffed up in your inhospitable pocket.

Unless you are some kind of extreme Grinch, there has got to be just a little bit of a soft spot in your heart for holiday lights. I know, I know … they can be tacky as hell, but there’s something festive about colored lights in the midst of winter. That said, the standard tools often can be a bit boring. What about some really design focused colored lights? Maybe even LEDs? Answer: Phillips LivingColors. They’re indoor lights with a remote control color wheel. Simple touch the desired color and the lamp fills the room with one of 16 million availble colors (check out the video on the Amazon page). It isn’t really recession friendly pricing at £92.99 a pop, but perfect for an upcoming party.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve added Chuck Anderson’s website to the sites we check as soon as we wake up. His new book, Wondering Off Into Space finally dropped yesterday and we’re excited. Even better Chuck also dropped a few surprise details on us, like limited signed copies will only be $25 and a portion of the profits go to the Invisible Children fund. There is literary no reason why you shouldn’t buy this book — look we’ll even give you a quick link to the buy the book page of his website.

Chuck is one of our favorite illustrators (see our multiple posts about him, including this great interview).
