DNA 11, the creative company known for transforming your personal DNA into custom works of contemporary art, has set up their first pop-up gallery in a house on the West Coast. Starting today visitors can set up an appointment to take a stroll through the Hermosa Beach residence where one-of-a-kind art from DNA 11 will be on display. Company co-founder Adrian Salamunovic will be on hand to guide customers and explain firsthand how these works come to be. If you’re interested in having your prints printed, check out the DNA House site for more details and make an appointment.

Between the happy hours, film festival, art showings, discussions about technology and concerts, there isn't much not to love about the Noise Pop festival that's dominating San Francisco until March 1. One of the highlights of the 17th year of the arts and culture festival promises to be Pop N' Shop, the independent design fair that squeezes as much clothing and unique knickknacks into one afternoon as possible. If you can't wait until the weekend, Wednesday will feature Stephen Malkmus performing solo at the Great American Music Hall and Martha Wainwright at Slim's. Also, a retrospective of festival posters and design that runs through the week is set to feature work by Thomas Campbell, Shepard Fairey, and a few other artists you may have heard of.

On January 10th, JoshSpear.com friend and action sports industry staple Riley Poor was involved in an accident in Vermont that resulted in a serious spinal cord injury. Among the many hats Riley wears in the ski industry: he’s X Games champion Simon Dumont’s personal camera guy, a videographer for Poor Boyz Productions (they just won Powder Magazine’s Movie of the Year Award for Reasons), and the Nike 6.0 Team Manager. Riley is now in an intense rehab program at the renowned Craig Hospital in Denver, continuing his rehabilitation and eventual full recovery. His spirit has been truly extraordinary through this ordeal, and he has come to be an inspiration to many.

Riley’s friends are coming together for a fundraising event and you’re all invited. The Rally for Riley is this Saturday night (2/28) at Sutra in Denver. Full details in the flyer after the jump. Hope to see you there for drinks, dancing (DJ Sounds Supreme and DJ Jesse James will be spinning), raffle prizes, and a celebration of Riley’s spirit.

GAMA-GO is putting a clever spin on economic stimulus: they’re giving away money with the purchase of one of their wallets. Essentially, each wallet will come with a starter-kit of $5 tucked inside. There are ten styles to choose from. Billfolds for men include styles like Bringing the Bacon and Pocket Tokyo, while women can choose from Bling Sushi and More Freakin Owls. Each wallet retails for $24 (though consider the instant ‘refund’ of $5) here. This promotion is good from now until noon PST, Thursday February 26th.

The distinctive voice and basic flow of B Real was one unmistakable trait of what made Cypress Hill big. The group pushed forward with a sound that was apart from the common feel of West Coast at the time, and painted their own gloomy picture. Both heavier and more pop, we’re now hearing B Real spit over an entire record, sharing production with Alchemist and Scoop DeVille — no Muggs or T-Ray on this one. On Smoke N Mirrors B Real shows us what he’s capable of as a beat maker, and proves that he hasn’t lost that killer flow. Guest spots include Snoop Dogg, Buckshot, and Too $hort.

Lina Scheynius is one of the most emotionally intimate photographers we’ve covered, and she’s taking the pending extinction of Polaroid film hard. Her Polariod100 project is a chance to get some closure by selling her collection of 100 pictures from this past year. The price is a little steep at â‚100 a photo, but hey, it’s an original. Scheynius is releasing all 100 photographs in four parts. Parts one and two are viewable now, three and four are on their way. If anything, it’s a chance to take another look at even more of her work in between her flickr updates and promises of a new book (stay tuned).
