Singapore will be showing off an array of national achievements to the globe at Shanghai’s World Expo in 2010. With that date seemingly around the corner, it’s high time they got a move on crafting their host pavilion. While they’ve received a multitude of architectural suggestions, perhaps the most stunning entry in the pavilion design contest was provided by DesignAct. The architectural firm has created a masterwork in the form of a pixelated cloud skyscraper, entitled “My Dream, Our Vision.” The breathtaking mass of sculpture would consist of 3866 permutated cubes with varying shades of transparency, lingering above a constantly evolving field of green. The formation is meant to characterize Singapore as a progressive land where increasing modernity and reinvention reign supreme.

Twitter is a great way for fostering discussion amongst your friends, telling strangers how your doctor’s appointment went, or staying up-to-date on Shaq. But sometimes you just need Twitter’s important opinions on one particular topic. Thanks to OneRiot’s new Twitter search engine, you can get all the tweets you need and none that you don’t. Find out what people really think of last night’s Gossip Girl, or something more important like the fate of our world at the G20 summit (pictured above).

Vince Pacheco's work isn't easily mistaken for anyone else's. The Bay Area record collector's stack of cheesecake, kitsch and classic country records were becoming too much to deal with. Then he, along with his crafty girlfriend, got the brilliant idea to turn them into spiral journals. After receiving positive feedback during his first craft season, Pacheco, who sells his wares as Etsy's Vinyl Frontier, now searches thrift stores for materials after burning through his personal collection. Journals featuring popular artists and musicals go quickly (including Dolly Parton, Sound of Music, and the Beatles), although there are requests of all kinds (Steely Dan and Barbara Mandrell among them). The frontier man doesn't only rescue and reuse board games and library books. Many of his journals contain recycled paper and all can be sent back and refilled for a small fee. Sounds sustainable and chic.

Google’s “unsend” setting has already saved thousands of savvy net-izens from mistaken late night e-mails. The new iPhone Bad Decision Blocker application goes one step further, by blocking specific contacts at preset times. So the next time you want to declare you love for your boss with a liquored up 4 a.m. ring, the iPhone will stop you. Now you can focus on other important things — like sending that person a Facebook message.

Nike Brazil’s newest campaign idea, entitled “V Project,” tasked nine people from the worlds of fashion, skate and art to create their vision of victory. One of them, artist and skate photographer Flavio Samelo (who’s part of the ever-productive Baglione collective), tapped into the period when he was in a coma for a year and had to learn to walk again after coming out of it. It was an experience that he made tangible through a mix of concrete and photographs (video here). Over the next few weeks, the works will circulate through the windows of various stores that carry Nike in Sao Paulo, including Surface to Air and Maze Skate Shop (which recently underwent a nice renovation that incorporates rails and concrete just like you find at the skate park), and will be put on the website of a new Nike-sponsored magazine called Project Gudi.

We've got some dope stuff from two cutting edge artists, and we want to give it to you.

SPRFKR and MSTRKRFT are both killing it in their respective fields. California-based designer and artist SPRFKR (a.k.a. Marco Rached) converted his love of comics and doodling into some of the most colorful, visually aggressive, and envelope-pushing T-shirt designs around. His first-ever solo show, “Mujeres y Flores”, is opening April 4 at the Con Safos Gallery in Santa Ana, California.

Meanwhile, Canadian super-duo MSTRKRFT are at the top of their game, mixing power-electro with dance-punk and house. Their latest album, Fist of God dropped March 17. Following their recent crowdsurf-inducing set at SXSW, MSTRKRFT is setting out on tour this summer — including a stop off at Coachella. You can get a taste for what their legendary live sets are like with the new vid for the album's first track, “Bounce” featuring N.O.R.E and Isis.

So besides killer art and a sick new album, what's in it for you? We've got two prize sets to hand out. Leave a comment below and we'll randomly pick two lucky art and music lovers. The first will get an original SPRFKR work from the current show (valued at $1000), their choice of any SPRFKR tee, and the new MSTRKRFT Fist of God CD. The second commenter gets their choice of SPRFKR tee and the “Fist of God” CD. Now get typing…

Visionaire rarely, if ever, fits into the traditional magazine category. For starters it’s only published three times a year and each issue is more of a curated art project around a certain theme. For their holiday issue (we aren’t sure which holiday) they’ve gone after pop-up books. Pulling in hotshot art/fashion names like Gareth Pugh, Sophie Calle and Alasdair McLellan, each artist created one pop-up book … well a one-page book. Altogether the collection makes up 11 images in a very attractive case. Production for all the issues of Visionaire are extremely limited and very pricey. This issue alone will set you back website. But if any of you do shell out the cash for this one we would love to see some hands on pictures.
