With the recent release of the Tron Legacy trailer, some 27 years after the original release, a new generation of moviegoers will get a chance to experience the 3D awesomeness that their parents still fondly remember. I was an 80’s baby so I can rightfully claim that I am part of that original group of the faithful, and after viewing the trailer I can’t wait to watch the movie. The only thing really helping me pass the time is a fan poster created by digital artists James White (aka Signalnoise). It’s tastefully done, with the trademark blue and green light streaks and the grid floor pattern. Looking at his body of work, the Tron Legacy movie seems to be the perfect subject as its style (lights, gradients) matches his own. I love tastefully done fan art and this one is a great example of such!

Great Star Wars and Full Metal Jacket mash up poster by artist and “graphic satirist” KENYONB. $30 and it’s yours.

Star Wars and Full Metal Jacket is like chocolate and peanut butter… Darth Vader and Private Joker's helmet epitomize the duality of man, or “the Jungian thing, Sir.” And even if you aren't picking up on my FMJ reference, you have to admit this is one badass looking poster. This is printed using clear gloss on matte black for the perfect black on black.

No, these are not wooden handlebar mustaches. They’re bad ass handcrafted wooden handlebars for bikes. Check out more at Workerman and buy them on Etsy. (He also seems to make some great t-shirts).

You’re getting a super sneak peek at Nike 6.0’s neat space-themed Explorer Pack scheduled for release in January 2010, though we wish it were coming out now ’cause of all the moon-landing anniversary talk in the air that has us feeling space-y. The Nike 6.0 team went to NASA HQ to get inspired for the design of the collection, even going so far as to tap astronaut Buzz Aldrin to help devise the galaxy print. It adorns everything from the Galaxy hoody to Triad backpack. I especially love the tee (sorry, not pictured), which is printed with the world-famous image of Aldrin from the Apollo Moon landing. There’s also another jacket in white, is waterproof and has special details, like zip pulls and Velcro straps in red and blue to correspond to the left and right sides—all in direct reference to astronauts’ space suits. Pretty out of this world.
