30mins is a collection of illustrations which interpreted daily news and events from the past year. Artist Daryl Campbell selected an article, story or piece of news every other day for one year. He illustrated his response to each event with 30-minute time limit. He called the project A Visual Exploration Of Life In the 21st Century– and he just finished. Check it out, 183 drawings later and there is some really great work here.

kind of silly that Campbell drew every OTHER day… why couldn’t he commit to a daily review I wonder??
Saying 365 drawings would be even more impressive imo

Hi,

First of all I would like to thank Josh for the link and the kind comments, its a great site. In response to Elle, i wish I could have produced a drawing every day but I found that this was an impossible task with my schedule. I originally had a partner producing a drawing on the other days but he dropped out as the pressure was too great. When you have to research the article you want to use, come up with a concept for it and then produce the illustration, even though its inside a 30 minute timeline, it gets very difficult. You may not think it but the dedication is immense. Hope you enjoy the result, and thanks again..
