If you were to ask Amy Casey what she would have been had she not been an artist, she should answer a city planning manager. Just taking a quick browse through her work gives you a peak at her visionary arrangement of housing districts. Little clusters of homes strung from a wire, supported by roots, and balancing on stilts — it almost like a Dr. Susses interpretation of the housing crisis. A collection of her new paintings are on for display November 15 (that’s Saturday kids) at the POVevolving Gallery in L.A. Even better you can order a nice limited edition print of the work pictured here.
