Meet Colin Thompson (Founder & Creative Director of Cipher)

A guy who was homeless and penniless in Hong Kong. We gave him money to eat, money to buy a computer to work on, all the money to produce his first line of (Cipher) footwear and gave our time, space and services to shoot his products. We even took his products around the world with us, introducing them to clients and passing on contact details to help out someone who seemed like a decent guy down on his luck.

3 years later, and now into his 3rd line of footwear he hasn’t paid what he agreed to in a signed contract. He has repeatedly failed to honour payment dates he himself set despite being given an additional 2.5 years to pay. He now refuses to pay the balances he owes us.

He has done his best to avoid us, each time treating us to yet another batch of excuses when we’ve caught up with him. He has lied at every given opportunity despite being given every opportunity to set himself up in Hong Kong. His word, his signature on a contract and virtually everything that comes out of his mouth is of no value.

Unsurprisingly we are not the only ones that have experienced this crook. If Colin Thompson comes sniffing around you looking for money/help, be very cautious. He is a thief, a liar, completely untrustworthy and does his best to keep his debts to people that have helped him to where he is quiet.
