Brooklyn-based designer Nick Foley recently made a bit of a stir with his Pear Light, however it seems that most people didn’t dig quite deep enough to discover his other hidden gem. Nick’s Cubelights feature a series of 3” blocks, alternating between white acrylic and wood veneer; alone, the blocks don’t do much, but connect an acrylic cube to a wood cube and you complete the circuit, creating a warm glow with an almost infinite number of arrangement possibilities — just think of them as building blocks that come to life when you strike the right combination. The Cubelights also create an interesting juxtaposition between the industrial feel of the lighted acrylic and the warm natural look of the wood.
