The burgeoning streetwear market continues to provide its fans with more than enough choices for even the most crazed shopaholic. Every week without fail, either a new brand drops or an existing brand releases new designs. Future Relic, a collaboration between two artists, Paul Kim and Kenyon Bajus, has been around since 2002 bringing to the masses what I believe to be some of the most conscious and thought-provoking clothing in the streetwear segment. Not content just printing up t-shirts with some cool and catchy logo or image, Future Relic actively seeks to engage people everywhere with imagery that forces the viewer to think about the relevance of cultural values and conventions. They’ve literally just released their new set of Spring 2006 designs and can be pre-ordered now on the Future Relic Website. The ‘Kim Jong Illin’ and ‘Soldier‘ shirts are my personal picks of the bunch.
