It seems that 9th grade literature and dapper suits have little to do with oversized T-shirts proclaiming “WGW” (We Get Wealthy). But the team at menswear line Gatsby insist that, like F. Scott Fitzgerald’s protagonist, their audience dresses in ways that nod to high society while being wary of it. The label has taken liberties with the LV monogram, and, in a rather brilliant combination, placed Grand Theft Auto’s gun-toting Niko against the words “The American Dream.”  Apparel stores Blades in New York and True in San Francisco both carry the new line, which could be the clothing equivalent of GirlTalk’s borrowing of popular work.

I dig the logo, and “The American Dream” shirt is great… Too bad I’ll have to drive all the way to Long Beach if I want to get my hands on it.
