I’m not what can be referred to as a “morning person.” I no longer own an alarm clock, thanks to my tendency towards hurling them indiscriminately across the room – causing damage to walls, furniture, pets and people alike. The Glo Pillow seeks to remedy such occurrences through a more gentle approach. A combination of memory foam and a series of LED-integrated fabric layers, slumber is theoretically broken by a gentle “glowing” that simulates a sunrise, as opposed to traditional shock-inducing bleating) allowing for a more peaceful start to your day. An RSA Design Directions Award winner in ‘06, the induction-charged pillow is controlled by a panel of six “soft buttons” on the side; the wireless transmitter allows free movement for those who are prone to tossing and turning. Not that you’ll be doing a whole lot of that after you discover what a “good night’s sleep” actually entails.

this is a wonderful Idea and something I may attempt for myself.
I myself am NOT a morning person and, anytime before 10 or 11 AM I have been know to harshly declare my unhappiness at being awake to any person, place, or thing that crosses my path (not even excluding my mother is exempt from my morning hostility, when I was young she attempted to ‘gently’ sing me awake…..)

I think this is a great idea! I HATE that awful buzz/beep of the alarm, what a way to wake up. When will they be available? Because I want to be one of your first customers!

I totally agree with the brilliance of this invention. One thing that definitely was not thought of when society decided to require successful professional individuals to work insanely long/early days, was the negative affect it would have on our body rhythms. I have suffered from this immensely during the work week, and cannot wait to try the glo pillow.
