I got to chat briefly with Inka Pen designer and optical engineer Greg Adelman, when he dropped some samples by my office. He came up with the idea for the Inka during a field research trip with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego. It became clear during his trip that there was a real need for an all around easy to carry and high strength writing tool. It boasts solid construction and a pressurized ink cartridge for writing upside down, underwater, at high altitudes, or anywhere else you find yourself–and best of all it hangs close by on a keychain. It also has a nice stylus for use on palm pilots.
