iPhone Ads - Josh Spear, Trendspotting

The Apple website was just updated with three new iPhone commercials. The insanely delicious (love the music) ads show off the iPod functionality, Email, iPhoto and most interesting to me, the mapping and web browsing, which just look unreal. I’m still a bit nervous about the keyboard functionality– I can’t imagine it could really beat out my Blackberry as far as typing goes. June 29th is now judgement day. Who’s buying one?

I’m definitely getting one. The maps thing blew me away. 3G be damned, just tell me they will include wireless-n and it’ll talk to my Appletv and I’ll be a happy camper.

I can’t wait for it to come to Europe… Hopefully we’ll get a bugfree version when it will cross the ocean

Mmm, no thanks. I think competitors will have something as nice and cheaper in a year or less. 1st gen Apple products generally aren’t great, anyway. Also, AT&T? Blech.

I’m thinking that by the 2nd Gen Version it will have 50% of the bugs worked out and will force myself to wait until then. I’ll stand by the 8800 I currently have and use the google maps plug in w/ the built in GPS for all my mapping needs. I’m definitely getting the next Gen iPod though!
