I’ve had a few requests for more photos from the earthquake-torn region of Indonesia where my father and little brother are currently working. My little brother shot all of the following photos of children, destruction and rebuilding (see them after the jump). Read their blog from Java for more details!

“They were sour and didn’t seem to care about playing with me. At the start, the kids were pretty attached to their parents and did not want to play, but after a couple close up magic tricks together with the universal game of hide and seek, they moved outside to make noise. Before long, I was attached at the hip and I couldn’t get away from them! With children, there is no language barrier because of the laughter. I am happy to be able to get them away from the feeling of having their world completely destroyed. Tomorrow we hit the mountains for more playtime.”

Hey, just look at all your pictures! Pretty sad …. your family still in Indonesia? I’m actually from Indonesia as well, but I moved here around 5 years ago …..
