Remember the old days when you’d get scratch-n’-sniff stickers from your teachers for doing a good job? Well, apparently artist/illustrator/designer Liam Devowski got a LOT of them. For a recent print, instead of sticking to conventional inks, Devowski used ketchup and mustard as his medium. I have to say, I wouldn’t have expected it to work so well, but the result is pretty impressive. The colors are rich and Devowski’s Hotdog Hearts print is definitely evocative of…ketchup and mustard.

I also really like his Best Friends Become Strangers print; the simplicity and humor make it fun, and I get the “drifting apart” sentiment easily enough. Have a look at Liam’s site — he’s in SF now and looking for some people to interact and explore with, so drop him a line!
