Makr, is a small label designed by a young, 24 year old, self taught leatherworker from Florida–who started making his first leather goods out of a beautiful antique camera bag that was passed down to him by his grandfather. He cut apart the leather, and experimented with the material. He put it in an industrial laser at the local architecture firm he was working at, and soon thereafter he had his first hand sewn and designed wallet– the results are exquisite. He ended up buying the laster and it sits in his garage, where he makes beautiful bags, and wallets like these. As far as I know he isn’t selling them, but I’m sure if we nag on him enough he’ll get some distribution and more products out!
