A few years ago when Discover introduced their mini credit card that was meant to be attached to your key chain and flipped out at the register, I yawned. When American Express recently unveiled their Butterfly card, I was mildly interested. What really has me excited though, is the new card designed by Roger Arquer. It combined a money clip with a credit card so you can carry your cash and plastic in one simple package. A year ago, I moved away from the bulky, carry-it-all wallet, and on to a minimalistic approach (mostly with the help of M-A-K-R). Just a concept at this point, I hope this card makes it into production soon!

looks great, but your card would get trashed.

I’d switch credit carriers and banks for that card. Let’s see if anyone picks up the design.

Word! Now just one thing to lose. What ever happened to the “everything” card that was rumored to be happening? The library, grocery store, atm, credit, license, GPS, EZPass, etc. etc… I remember hearing that was on the horizon 5 years ago.

it soeasn’t look like it would work good for old and flimsy dollars bills, particularly is you only have one or two. the clip need a backing or at least be a lot longer in order to hold loose bills in place.

Surely the whole idea of credit card companies is to get rid of cash?

if it’s made of some flexible metal, then yah, that’s pretty damn cool. too bad Hungary is late on everything (and i live here)

If they made it strong enough and had the middle part a little longer I would be down to get one.

Cool idea! That design is certainly workable and it is just a matter of some company picking up that idea. I’m sure lots of people who use money clips would jump at the chance to get a card like that!!

There are small titanium money clips that are also designed to hold two or three credit cards. http://www.clip-money.com is one on-line vendor.

I had the bank of america small keychain credit card up to Jun 2010. Then they pulled it forever. I was pissed! It was amazingly convenient.

Now I am trying to figure out if I can cut up my regular car and put a hole punch on one end and make my own keychain card. Do you think the swip works if some of it is cut off? I dont see why not since the mini keychain cards were only2 inches long.
