I remember seeing Neckface tags when I lived in Brooklyn 4 or 5 years ago- and his rise to what I equate to be basically street-art-stardom has been fun to watch. Sneaker Freaker has a few exclusive shots and details on his newest collaboration with Vans. Apparently he was offered a sneaker deal with Nike (unconfirmed), but for whatever reason ended up going with Vans instead. We like the results– I can only hope these are limited edition and we’ll see some more in the series. This is the Sk8 High– pictures of the two lows and some detail shots after the jump.

Neckface sucks ass. Why should anyone honor his work by allowing him to design a shoe?

There are more talented artists out there!!

Because, anonymous coward, everybody’s got their own taste in art. If you’re allowed to think he sucks, other people are allowed to think he doesn’t. Stop being solopsist asshole and show some respect for other people’s opinions.

I’ve always wondered why this persons work got so much attention. Seems like more hype and networking than talent. There are many other street artists in NY with much more talent that should have their own show. This is Just the opinion of someone who’s been a fan of NY street art for 20 years.. To each his own I guess.

neckface is unique from most of the street art i’ve seen. i think he is talented but it is mostly hype
