OK –

First off let me say that I really dig the idea of bringing fine art and the art of music together for an awesome event/give-away for the fans. Very cool.

But this is call for critique and as a designer I’m going to be (constructively) honest.

The headline is a little weak. If there is a contest where I (the viewer) can win free gear and music, that should be the first thing I notice when I land on the page. The first thing I notice currently is that the shirts.

With that being said, I think the shirts are great, but I can’t be certain as I can’t look at them any bigger than a thumbnail. That was kind of disappointing. The major portion of the prize is some awesome original artwork. Sweet, except I have no idea what it looks like and I really can’t get an idea of the artists style because I can’t get a good look at the shirts.

I understand that there are links to the right in the navigation panel that I can browse through and look at all the goodies, but to have the best impression on the user you need to capture their attention within the first 3 seconds of them being on the site (i.e. header and better visuals).

With all that being said, I LOVE MSTRKRFT and to be honest this is the first I’ve seen SPRFKR’s work, but I really dig it. I hope this comes off as constructive and not as designer snobbery, just trying to help. Keep cranking out the killer tunes and art guys.

I am a big horror movie fan so of course I love this fashion.

As a long time MSTRKRFT supporter, i think this is an excellent idea to get people on your show, as you are witnessing, I am one of them! haha.

I have watched MSTRKRFT start little and get bigger over the time theyve been djing. I havent stopped loving them and wont. Me, being a fellow DJ myself, think of them as an influence or “superiority” if you will.

I am pleased with this competition, and really hope i do win.
And i LOVE the art, i am also a graphic design and can appreciate these designs to a more then great extent.
