Staying with our new tradition, Talk Shop Fridays, I thought I’d pose the question to you fine readers on this glorious day: Which live shows are you excited to see in the coming months? Summer is a great time for live music, especially in Colorado– we’re finally freed from the manacles of winter and go outside to venues like Red Rocks. Personally, after seeing TV on the Radio play twice in the last seven months, I don’t think it can get any better (case in point– as you can see here, they even shredded Letterman!). TVOTR aside, I’m excited to see Kings of Leon at the Ogden Theater on Cinco de Mayo. But my music preferences aside, I’m excited to hear what performances you all are excited about. Comment away!

Dude. I didn’t want to like it - but I’m down with the new Killers record… and they’re coming to Red Rocks. I’m going. Also, I’m going to go out of town to catch a Muse show this year for sure.

I’m excited to see upcoming shows in Vancouver by Regina Spektor and Arcade Fire. They’re both amazing and this will be my first time seeing either live.

I’ve also got tickets for Explosions in the Sky, CSS, and Architecture in Helsinki. I’m not as jazzed up for them, but I’m still excited.

@Adiggs: Muse is worth it, no matter how far you have to go. I wish they’d come back to Vancouver.

Haha. Agreed. I’m seeing The Killers at University of Central FL on April 20. Also going to see Damien Rice at the end of May in the ATL. Elton John will be playing in Greenville, SC on May 4th….I wish i could go, but two out of town concerts in one month ain’t gonna happen.

I don’t know if anything gets as good as TVOTR and Kings of Leon right now. Let’s put Ghostland Observatory up there as well. Other than that, pretty much any band playing at Austin City Limits is good for me.

Josh - I’ve been using a great app called iConcertCal for finding live venues (http://www.iconcertcal.com/). It utilizes the visualizer in iTunes, and any artists you have in your iTunes library shows up in a calendar in iTunes. It’s money. Speaking of money, I love your blog. Take care.

Ya, we’ve been using iConcertCal as well and love it. See our past post here: http://www.joshspear.com/item/iconcertcal/

Glad you like the blog!

Austin, I don’t know if you like Bloc Party or not, but they’ll be at UCF next month too. I’m looking forward to it anyway.

Oh, and El-P will be touring this summer for any of you hip-hop heads. Guaranteed to be a good show, and he’ll be in small venues.

Daft Punk w/Sebasitian and Kavinsky
I bought as many floor GA tickets as my little bank roll would allow.

I’m willing to wait for free tickets on everything else.
