Vernor Panton has been designing with precision and grace for a long time– and before his death dabbled in everything from architecture to furniture and lighting. His Globe lamp, originally released in 1969, became available again in 2004, and is an excellent example of his timeless designs. The globe is constructed of transparent acrylic Lucite and has five reflectors in hollowed out Aluminum, each having a colored lacquered finish of white, blue, or orange. Priced at $1995.00 for the 16” diameter and $2495.00 for the 20” diameter, the Globe is truly a piece of art worthy of adoration. Each lamp is signed, stamped, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Both sizes are available from Luminaire.
