Zidane Zinédine Zidane is undoubtedly a player for the history books and his talent has now been immortalized in film. Zidane, un portrait du 21e siècle or Zidane: Portrait of the 21st Century, which premiered at Cannes, is a documentary filmed from Zidane’s perspective during the Real Madrid vs. Villareal game on April 23, 2005. The movie was filmed in real time using 17 synchronized cameras and ends up “Halfway between a sports documentary and a conceptual art installation.”

I wish I had Zidane´s e-mail, just to tell him I feel sorry… I´m brazilian, we lost the Cope, and we expected France to win it, for we saw the best team, the world´s best player was Zidane. I understand what he did, for the reasons why… He´s the best. It´s the truth.
