Bote Bathtub Play
by: Josh Spear![]()
This series of floating boats in cork and plastic for Portuguese Company Materia are gorgeous. Sure beats the rubber ducky I grew up with.
Composed by a cork hull and a plastic add-on piece (a sail, a row of engine chimneys or a cabin) Bote is your ticket to plenty of imaginative seafaring. Via Daily Icon

USB Wall Outlet

When I move into my next office (or a new house), having these USB Wall Outlet’s for $23 a pop is top of my list.
Floating Bench
by: Josh Spear
This bench was visually inspired by the feeling of floating that the main character felt in the French movie, “Le Ballon Rouge”(1953).
Great bench design by Japanese Studio h220430.
In reality the bench is suspended from the ceiling by 4 anchors concealed by the balloon shapes. This creates the illusion of the bench being lifted by balloons. Via Dezeen
Upwell Design Wallplates
by: Josh Spear

Wallplates is a functional light switch system that already works with your standard light switches. Hook and Envelope are the first of these functional Wallplates, but eventually new product functions will be created as the product line expands. Hook and Envelope are simply light switch cover plates that add practical function to your space. Check out the Kickstarter project here to learn more. Great idea Justin!

KiBiSi’s Brick Couch
by: Josh Spear

Sold. My boys at KiBiSi designed this Brick couch as part of a series for Versus.
KiBiSi set out to make a sofa with strong architectural references since KiBiSi partner Bjarke Ingels couldn’t really find the right architect’s sofa for his apartment. The point of departure was a classic brick bond forming the cushion pattern. The cushions are tied together and fixed with a tailor quality button. The button, also designed by KiBiSi, is molded of fiber concrete – Yet another architectural reference.
Vessel Series For Plumen
by: Josh Spear
Simply gorgeous. Samuel Wilkinson presents his new Vessel series under Decode’s ‘Exclusive’ label. The series consists of three mouth blown forms cut across individual angles. Each looks to celebrate the bulb from a different perspective. The designs were produced specifically to complement the flowing forms of the recently launched Plumen 001, which Wilkinson designed with Hulger.
